Decorative Pot with Dionaea muscipula
I have plenty of terracotta pots. They boring to be seen without any colours on they .So here is beautiful pot I painted with acrylic paints and added a few decoratives.Inside this is a beautiful insect eating plant Dionaea muscipula . Have placed this pot and plant near the kitchen window. Haven’t seen the plant catch any insect so far.
Lamb Ball Curry
The only dish I like of lamb is this curry. There are several versions of this curry. This is my own.
I normally get diced meat for this recipe then mince it myself in the processor.
Here is what you need.
For making ball
Lamb mince -500 grams
Ginger Garlic -1 tsp
Mint Leaves –Handful
Coriander leaves –Handful
Chili Flakes –1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
For making curry
Roast in oil
Onion-1to blend,1 to fry
Tomato-1
Few pepper corn
Coconut-3tsp
Ginger Garlic mince 1tsp
Coriander pwd-1tsp
Cumin pwd-1 tsp
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Chili pwd -1tsp
Khus Khus-2 tsp
Bay leaves-2
Salt to taste
Fry all the above ingredients one by one expect the powders and blend it in to a fine paste.
In a pan add oil. Add bay leaves, sliced onions, ground paste, add water if required. After a couple of mins add the powders one by one and stir.Meanwhile blend ginger, garlic, Chili flakes ,mint and coriander leaves and the lamb mince in processor.
Make lime size balls and drop in the the cooking gravy with some water if required ,place a lid.Let the meat balls cook well for 20 mins in low flames. This spicy curry goes well with rotis and rice. Can add a dash of lime and garish with coriander leaves.
Decorative Hangings
During my recent trip to India I came across several places where these decorative handicrafts were sold .They looked also good and attractive. Unfortunately I couldn’t buy them .Reasons being weight and fragile.
Anyways I was looking at decorative stuff to fill up my new house which we bought soon after returning from India.I wanted these kind of handicrafts….so I made it myself.I used clay to make the elephants, colored with acrylic paint, some decorative beads and jute thread to hang.
